1. Structure and Construction

Basic composition: Steel pipe piles are mainly composed of steel pipes, tongue-and-groove mortises, tongue-and-groove dowels and other components. The tongue-and-groove is vertically connected to the left end of the steel pipe diameter. The cross section of the tongue-and-groove is a square frame with one side open, and a reinforcing rib is provided on the side; the right end of the steel pipe diameter is vertically connected to the tongue-and-groove pin at the radial position, and the groove section of the tongue-and-groove pin is I-shaped.

Specifications and sizes: Steel pipe piles have various sizes and specifications. Their diameters generally range from 400-2000mm. The most commonly used ones are around 1800mm. Some literature also indicates that their diameters range from φ406.4φ2032.0mm. The outer diameter of the steel pipe is generally between 50-120cm, and the wall thickness is mostly 1-1.8cm, but there are also thicker ones, such as 625mm. The length of the steel pipe pile is generally determined according to the needs of the project. The common single-section length is 13m or 15m, and it can also be composed of multiple sections.
